Thresholds

Well, three (now finishing this five) weeks into my second semester and one a few into T's second semester, we're finally updating . . .

Yesterday, I heard on NPR that if you don't blog daily, don't bother. What if the blog aims only for minimal import?

I marked the start of the semester by installing a literal threshold: the one between our kitchen tile and hardwood. (We finally got it stained and sealed after finding a place that custom makes thresholds.)

Three weeks into the semester, I'm crossing a figurative treshold into a new schedule that includes three courses (two last semester) and teaching on M/W from 7-8:30 p.m. (which, yes, requires a lot of an adjustment). I'm realizing that I may be more schedule driven than I might have ever acknowledged.
